"Love brings love" was the mantra of designer Alber Elbaz who passed away in April, 2021. On October 5th last, 46 international designers paid tribute to him in a unique show, each one presenting a silhouette inspired by his world and work. Now to be discovered at the "Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris".

SHIRLEY JAFFE, AN AMERICAN IN PARIS - April 20th to August 29th, 2022

American artist Shirley Jaffe, who died in 2016 in Paris where she had lived since 1949, is a major figure in contemporary abstract art. Canvasses by this painter seen as the heiress of Henri Matisse are recognizable among all others for their geometry and colours.

Through the figure of Taharqa ("Pharaoh of Two Lands"), this world-renowned museum, containing the world's second large collection of Egyptian antiquities, traces the African saga of the Kings of Napata, the ancient capital of a vast kingdom in Nubia (now Sudan), long ruled over by Egypt.

The Louis Vuitton Foundation offers an impressive overview of the work of Simon Hantaï (1922-2008), a French artist born in Hungary. In a retrospective comprised of over 130 canvasses, the exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of this major figure in abstract art.

In the wake of Dalí and Gaudí, L’Atelier des Lumières pays tribute to Paul Cézanne in this immersive exhibition proposing a path to the very core of his most iconic works. Born in Aix-en-Provence, the artist sublimated his native Provence throughout his career. Also worth discovering: a short programme dedicated to Vassily Kandinsky, father of abstract art.
