Rue Mouffetard in the 5th arrondissement for its bars, restaurants, wine cellars, greengrocers... It has it all, even little summer concerts on Place Saint-Médard. There's a fantastic atmosphere, a bit like Montmartre, though not so hackneyed.
I'm not the world's most romantic person though I like moments of complicity shared with my partner. Biking home, for instance, after a good dinner in the Marais, past the quaysides, Les Invalides. Moments more about carefreeness than romanticism, but being in love also means being carefree, don't you think?
The Parc Georges Brassens, Place Jacques Marette, in the 15th arrondissement. It has lots of charm with its trees and vines. I love playing hide-and-seek along its paths with my 3 year-old son.
There are lots of them. At my parents' home, to start with: my father makes fabulous pancakes. Otherwise, at FIEF opened by Victor Mercier, Rue de la Folie-Méricourt (11th arr.) or Louie Louie, Rue de Charonne (11th arr.) for pizzas with pals.
Mora, Rue Montmartre (1st arr.), the best boutique for kitchen equipment. I spend quite a lot of time there. Looking at utensils gives me ideas for my future creations. And toy shops. Treating my little boy takes me back to my childhood.
Rue Princesse in the 6th arrondissement, its neighbourhood bars with amazing atmospheres: Alegria (17 rue Guisarde) and Le Pousse au Crime (15 rue Guisarde). Perfect evenings, mornings hard to face!
